Best Jogging Strollers Buying Guide

Every mother who dreams of getting fit after giving birth wants a beautiful jogging stroller with which she can safely walk her baby around the neighborhood. Unfortunately, this safety often comes with a large investment in a good three-wheeled stroller. The main advice to give here is this: if you really want to jog with your stroller, please treat yourself to a quality stroller. Don’t neglect your safety or that of your child. If you can’t afford it, go jogging without your baby while the other parent or a friend takes care of your baby.

As part of this review, 5 of the most popular models on the market were selected. The functionality of each is compared and the inventory of the pros and cons of each stroller has been made.

Four main criteria were assessed: Handling, representing the quality of road handling and maneuverability; Comfort, for the quality of the suspension and the comfort of the seat and handle; Quality, for the choice of materials; and finally, Overall Appreciation, for the ease of use and overall performance.

Choosing the right best pick for this review was not easy. The Bob Revolution Flex is a wonderful stroller that is fun to push, but the number one pick is the Thule Urban Glide 2. Indeed, it can be hard to find fault with this jogging stroller that offers incredible comfort for the child and amazing handling for the parent. Its light weight, compared to the Bob or the Baby Jogger Summit X3, makes it an exceptional jogging stroller. The ride when running is smooth and light. An excellent pick for the mom who wants to get back in shape with baby. This stroller is still expensive, but worth every dollar.

If you don’t have the budget, but want a jogging stroller, I recommends the Baby Trend Expedition. Don’t expect a quality stroller at this price, but it looks great and offers great handling for brisk walking. If you want to run with this stroller, be prepared to hear your child complain about the bad suspension. Special mention to the sun visor of this stroller!

Why We Love It

Nothing was left to chance in that stroller. At 23.2 pounds, it is 3 pounds lighter than the Bob. Its aluminum frame makes it sturdy while still ensuring this lightness. This stroller can be used from the age of 6 months or with an infant car seat adapter. Several seats are compatible, including the Britax B-Safe 35, the Chicco KeyFit 30, the Primo Viaggio 4-35 and the Graco Snugride Click Connect 35.

The handle is adjustable for maximum comfort and the stroller has a brake pedal. Be careful, this pedal is difficult to activate and deactivate when wearing sandals. The new model of the Thule Urban Glide 2 now includes a handbrake, which is a great improvement to the product. The front wheel locks to make the ride easier.

It folds easily using a device located on the footrest, but, let’s be honest, there are friendlier strollers out there, including the Baby Jogger and Graco.

You are definitely making a good pick by opting for this model. I was impressed by the design of this stroller and the quality of its ride.

Why We Love It

This jogging stroller with a strong reputation just missed the top position in this review. The owners of this stroller will be unanimous, it is a charm to push. Its massive wheels make driving it a pleasure for both child and parent. It’s just a shame that at this price this stroller doesn’t come with a bottle holder.

Bob lags behind her competitors in terms of ease of folding and unfolding. Both hands are necessary to perform the operation, in addition to having to use the foot to unfold it. It takes up space, so if you have a small lobby, think twice before purchasing this stroller.

However, these small defects are easily forgotten on the road. It turns on a dime and the quality of its suspension is incredible. Every bump is smoothly cushioned, making it an ideal off-road stroller.

The brake pedal is easy to use and like the Thule, there is unfortunately no hand brake. Nevertheless, the Pro version of this stroller has this feature.

This stroller can be used with babies from the age of 8 weeks, thanks to the seat which can be easily lowered. There are several options for the infant car seat adapter to use the stroller from birth, such as the Britax B-Safe 35, the Chicco KeyFit 30, the Primo Viaggio 4-35 and the Graco Snugride Click Connect 35.

This stroller rarely disappoints its owners. It is certainly not the ideal stroller for shopping, especially since the storage below the stroller is not huge, but suitable for outdoor enthusiasts and off-road jogging.

Why We Love It

The Baby Jogger Summit X3 is growing in popularity and with good reason. It offers a good ride and comfort for the baby with its wide sun visor. Although it is heavy (5 pounds heavier than the Thule), it folds easily with one hand and is fairly compact when closed.

Its greatest asset for running is its handbrake which provides safety in descending hills. It is the only model evaluated here to be equipped with this device. Too bad, however, that the handle on which the brake is installed is not adjustable for maximum comfort for the parent.

His lack of stability when running made this stroller drop in the ranking of this review. Indeed, it is difficult to turn the stroller, probably due to the width of the rear wheels. For this reason, it is not the best pick when it comes to jogging strollers.

The Baby Jogger Summit X3 can be used from birth and adapters are possible for an infant car seat. Compatible car seats include Britax B-Safe 35, Chicco KeyFit 30, Primo Viaggio 4-35 and Graco Snugride Click Connect 35.

The Baby Jogger Summit X3 is a great stroller, although a little expensive for the quality it offers.

Why We Love It

If you want a jogging stroller with a sporty look or for fitness classes and you don’t want to spend a lot of money buying a Thule, a Bob or a Baby Jogger, this stroller can be a good pick.

The large child tray and the parent tray that includes a compartment for a mobile phone and even an integrated MP3 speaker are without a doubt well appreciated features. This stroller offers a pleasant handling for short walks.

It is not an ideal stroller for running. The wheels are not strong enough to provide stability during the run and will shake on an off-road track. Many owners mention wheels that deflate quickly. Even if the front wheel locks, its poor quality does not provide the stability that is essential for jogging. In addition, the rubber coating of the non-adjustable handle is much less comfortable than models with padded handles, such as the Thule and the Bob.

The stroller is only compatible with Baby Trend baby seats.

This stroller is a nice compromise between the sporty look and the functionality of an all-purpose stroller. It doesn’t take up much space in the trunk of the car and offers plenty of storage. Under-seat storage is limited to 5 pounds. This lightweight stroller is a good value for money pick.

Why We Love It

The Graco FastAction Fold looks great. At first glance, it has great qualities such as ease of use, several storage features and a very competitive price. However, one can quickly become disenchanted with this stroller on the road. Keeping the stroller straight forward at full speed is difficult even with the front wheel locked. Also expect to have to inflate the tires several times. In addition, the short sun visor does not provide adequate protection for the baby.

This stroller is not suitable for people under 5”3, since the handle is not adjustable to an acceptable level. It has a pleasant weight, especially since it is compatible with the Graco Snugride Click Connect 35, which is one of the lightest infant seats on the market. The use of the brake pedal is very pleasant, even in sandals.

This stroller has several storage compartments, which is handy when you’re on the go. It can be used from birth and adapters are only available for Graco Click Connect infant seats, including the Graco Snugride Click Connect 35.

Graco strollers, and all Graco products for that matter, are known for their excellent value for money. The Fast Action Fold is no exception to this commitment. Unfortunately, the quality should not be overlooked for a jogging stroller, which is why I do not recommend this stroller for running.
